Our Beliefs

What We Believe

We are a local congregation of Christians believing in Jesus the Christ, the Son of the living God. Matt 16:16  God created the world and everything in it. Acts 17:24-25  He gives to all, life, breath, and all things.  He is Lord of heaven and earth and we live and move and have our being in Him. We have divine assurance through Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. We also have assurance through the inspired fulfilled prophesies 2 Pet 1:16-21 given in both the Old and New Testaments. All these prophesies were fulfilled in and through Jesus, the Christ, savior of the world.

We recognize Jesus as The Prophet, like unto Moses, Deut 18:18 raised up in the last days Acts 2:14-17, 3:22-24 of the Mosaical age. He promised redemption for all who would believe and obey His gospel. However, he also brought a covenant-ordained vengeance Luke 21:20-28 on those who refused to hear Him. We believe Jesus passed the test of a true prophet of God Deut 18:19-22 by fulfilling all things written. Luke 21:22  He brought His promised redemption and restored the fellowship of mankind Acts 3:21 with the Divine Father.

We believe the restoration of this spiritual garden-of-Eden type relationship was made possible by the sacrifice of the blood of the Lamb, God’s only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ.  We believe Jesus fulfilled all things promised in the first century time frame. Matt 16:28 24:34 Luke 21:20-33 This also included fulfilling the old Mosaical covenant and the establishing of the new and superior Christian covenant. Matt 5:17-18 Heb 8:13, 12:22-28 1Cor 13:10 2Pet 3:13  Under the new covenant authority of Christ, we as Christians, are commissioned to make disciples of all peoples, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe the whole counsel of God. Acts 20:27

True believers, who repent of their transgressions, and confess Jesus to be the son of God, may by faith in Christ, become sons of God. This is accomplished by being fully immersed (baptized) in water and being raised up to walk in newness of life, signifying one’s death, burial and resurrection in the likeness of Christ. Gal 3:26-27 Rom 6:3-6  Having been baptized into Christ, we become brethren in God’s one and only spiritual family. We then have fellowship with all others who have been baptized into Christ and who remain faithful, abiding in His word.
